Musicians wisely utilised their grants to make a living amidst pandemic lockdown

Musicians in Baguio and Benguet particularly the TCC Band wisely made a decision to use the money they received from donors to make a livelihood.

Recently, The Cordillera Connection (TCC) made a fundraising initiative on Facebook Fundraiser to raise a fund for local Musicians who have been volunteering for TCC’s Concert For Life Series.

More than Php100K have been raised and were divided among the Bands and solo performers. TCC Band, whose members are now heavily impacted on the lockdown, were given Php15,000 each in addition to the other funds who were given to them specifically by donors.

TCC Band members namely, Kenz Inocencio, Patrict Sarmiento, Jayson Raras and Stephen Dalacan with the assistant of their Sound Technician Manong Gabby Capan, have decided to use the fund to make a livelihood while they can’t play in venues like Bars and Restaurants.

As the saying says, “Don’t give man a fish, teach him how to fish.” These guys however made a twist, they were given a fish and learned how to fish. Good models.

Currently, they are selling packed cooked delicacies and errand services for a small fee.

We commend and recommend them.
