OB Dr. Taguiling awards Project 50 grants to 6 kids
Project 50, a running endeavour of Dr Ruth Taguiling, an Ob-Gyne by profession, benefits 6 Good Care kids where these beneficiaries were given PHP12500 grant-in-aid to each.
Dr Ruth saw in TCC that tupe of volunteerism found on no other charity group most especially kids of the blind.
TCC, thru Mr Taag, will monitor their grades, activities etc. The kids will take part in Dr Ruth’s forthcoming activities.
Mr Val Mangina, the overseer if the kids thanked Dr Ruth and TCC on behalf of the parents. He wrote in his text message, “iti nagan iti amin nga parents iti scholars yu babaen ti The Cordillera Connection Inc.,we would like to express our gratitude for the financial assistance nga inted yu idi kalman dakkel nga tulong para kadakami nga parents, ikararag mi ti salun at yu kanayun ken the lord may further strenghten TCC Incorp. Para kadagiti adu pay nga agkasapulan ti tulong yu. God bless you and your family, once again thank you very much, Dr Ruth.” (In behalf of the parents of all your scholars thru The Cordillera Connection, we would like to express our gratitude for the financial assistance you awarded yesterday as it is a big help for us parents, we pray for your health and may the Lord further strengthen TCC for many others who will need your help. God bless you and your family, once again thank you very much, Dr Ruth).
This is a concrete expression of stewardship. Dr Ruth summed it all by saying that, “awan ti kwartak ngem no agtitinnulong tayo ket adda maitulong tayo kakadwa. Dakayo nga ubbing tarimaanen yo eskwela yo. Diyo putden connection yo with your sponsors. Talk to them and greet them. Who knows they will support you till college?” (I don’t have money but if we help each other we are able to help our brethren. To all of you kids, do well on your studies. Don’t loose your connection with your sponsors. Talk to them and greet them. Who knows they will support you ’till college?)
Doc Ruth is again requesting TCC to handle its forthcoming special activity. TCC Founder Marben T. Orfiano, was the one who designed the poster used and it generated funds for the kids.

NEDA-CAR, TCC partners in Autonomy Campaign
Article by: Gregorio C. Taag

Regional Development Council (RDC) thru its NEDA-CAR Regional Director invited TCC to be a partner in the Regional Autonomy endeavor.
The partnership comes into structure as TCC’s long-time volunteer band performer was contracted to head the campaign sorties. Project Jon, composed of Jon Sawac, Kenneth Inocencio, Stephen dalacan, Jayson Raras, Vener Yano, Margaret Locano, Juan Jayno Javier, Melvin Soriano, Clinton Morgan, and Patrick Sarmiento compose the group. The band is a conglomeration of talents with a wide array of music genre on their sleeves. RD Milagros Rimando saw TCC group page and appreciated its endeavours; the Concert for Life series and thus invited TCC.
NEDA-CAR, thru RD Milagros Rimando and her staff, Maris Cabato, and the rest met with GC Taag first, then took along Jon Sawac so he could input in the proceedings.
The endeavour involved a partnership where the band members will also be rewarded with an honorarium package which is hard to refuse. This is TCCs way of paying back its talents. GCTAAG also lined up the younger performers, the TCC Band, to serve as front acts for Project Jon. They too were given singing gigs with the DENR, another government entity. For now, TCC is branching out and trying other fields where it can also help, aside from charity works. Thanks to its volunteers who always strive to do better each time.
