Ms CULTURAL WORLD 2017

GUIDELINES & MECHANICS

In line with the conduct of the search for MS. CULTURAL WORLD and as part of the celebration of The Cordillera Connection’s 6th Anniversary which will be celebrated on October 14, 2017, in London, below are the guidelines and mechanics for all concerned:

Pageant Night: 14 October 2017, Saturday, 06:30PM

Venue: Baden Powell House, 65-67 Queen’s Gate, South Kensington, London, SW7 5JS

INTRODUCTION

The Ms. Cultural- World is showcasing the culture, arts and heritage of each candidates through their National/Cultural Attire, as well as, any Casual Wear of their choice.

The candidates will compete on the following categories:

Popularity Vote (ONLINE VOTES
Charity Award
NATIONAL/CULTURAL COSTUME
Talent Competition ( Each are given a maximum of 3 minutes for their talent)
Question and Answer Portion ( Each are given 1 minute to answer questions which are related to the theme of this pageant)

QUALIFICATIONS

The Search is open to all females of any nationalities and at least 16 years old.

MECHANICS

Each candidate will compete in the following categories:

Presentation of Candidates – candidates will present themselves wearing their National/Cultural Costume and a Casual Wear of their choice.
Talent Competition – every candidate will be given a maximum of three (3) minutes for the talent presentation. They are to be rated according to their Execution (40%); Originality (30%) and Audience Appeal (30%)
Charity Award – there will be raffle tickets to be sold individually by each of the candidates since this is a fundraising charity show for the TCC beneficiaries. There will be 20% being given to each candidates from their individual sales. The candidate with the highest number of tickets endorsed will get the special award, CHARITY AWARD.
POPULARITY (ONLINE VOTES) – Each candidate will have official pageant photos that will be uploaded on an online voting site. Candidates are encouraged to share their official pageant photos to gather more likes from their friends. The percentage will be computed based on the highest number of total votes of all the photos of a certain candidate. The candidate with the highest number of likes will get the special award, MS. POPULARITY
CULTURAL/ NATIONAL COSTUME – in the presentation of candidates during the Pageant Night, candidates will be in their chosen Cultural/ National Costume. They will be rated according to its Creative Design (40%) ; Poise & Bearing (30%); Audience Impact (30%).
Casual Wear Competition – in this category candidates will be required to wear the casual attire of their choice to satisfy the criteria of Design and Fitting (40%); Poise & Bearing (30%) and Audience Impact (30%).
Question & Answer – Each candidate will be given one question to answer and the answer will be rated according to its relevance, substance, & value to the question given.

The final performance will be rated on the following criteria:

CULTURAL/ NATIONAL WEAR – 40%
Poise & Personality – 30%
Beauty – 10%
Audience Impact : 20%

The Top Three (3) Candidates will be declared as MS. CULTURAL – WORLD , 1st Runner Up and 2nd Runner Up, respectively.

The decision of the Board of Judges is final and irrevocable.

The following Special Awards will be given to candidates that garners the highest score on each category. Each winner will receive a Trophy, Sash and a gift).

MAIN AWARDS

MS. CULTURAL- WORLD 2017 ( £300, Trophy, Sash, Crown, Bouquet)3

2nd Runner Up- (£100, Trophy, Sash, Bouquet )
